I've worked for BASU, or fromerly Bay Area Sign Ups. The owner is Eric Stone. Wonderful company. Professional and promt payment.

They are my bread and butter! Their rates are on the low side, but their support is outstanding (they insist on having after-hours contact numbers for any client they book signings for, and if they ever have a problem and can't reach their client, the client gets the axe!) and they are very prompt in paying - Example: I received payment for all December signings, and my 2007 1099, on January 2nd, 2008. You can't beat that for service.

On the down side, they are really anal about not allowing notaries to interface directly with the escrow companies. This means that when the Escrow officer is asleep at the wheel, we have to rely on BASU to straighten things out, and they're more interested in keeping the client happy than in making our jobs easier (or keeping us strictly legal).

Great Company to work with. Pay a fair fee and pay on time. No hand holding and always have documents ready in plenty of time.
