Wyoming's Notaries Public - Acknowledgment Act
The notary must not notarize any document which does not have a complete notarial certificate embedded in the document or on an attachment to the document. Notaries should never assume that a pre-printed certificate complies with law, nor that it is accurate or truthful. The notary must scrutinize the pre-printed certificate for legality, truthfulness and accuracy. Although it is not the responsibility of the notary to attach the proper certificate (possibly an Acknowledgment Certificate) or jurat to the document he/she is notarizing, he/she may do so if he/she wishes. The notary certificates may be hand-written in ink or typed by the notary.

Notary certificate wording areas should have adequate space and the notary should never affix their official seal over any printed wording. Notary certificates need not be on the same page as the signer's signature providing that the certificate clearly indicates which document it is being attached to. That means that the notary needs to indicate the name of the document, document date, and number of pages on the page where the official seal is located.

Dual State Notary Commission Information
If you are a Colorado notary, South Dakota notary, or Utah notary, you may not become a Wyoming notary public. Please contact the Secretary of State as they may allow you to notarize in Wyoming with your neighboring state's commission under certain circumstances.
