IA - Information of Interest
Iowa defines notarizing as the "act of witnessing" by the notary public in accordance with specifications of state law. Notarization includes signed documents and requires the notary to ensure the signer's identity and willingness to sign. The government's notary resource materials do not include Iowa Acknowledgment Verbiage, or Iowa Jurat Wording. Please find a reputable notary supplier to get forms with the correct wording for various types of notary acts including Acknowledgments and Jurats.
