Authenticate
To prove or verify as genuine. An Authentication certificate is a very important document that is from the Notary's state's Secretary of State or Notary Division that validates that the notary's seal and information are consistent with the information that they have on file. An Apostille has a very similar function to a Certificate of Authentication.
