Top placement gives you top placement (the #1 position) in one area only.

If you live in a less populated area ( less than 15 notaries serving that area ), we MIGHT give you additional areas at no extra charge in you inquire about it. Simply send us an email to info@123notary.com, and write, "I live in XYZ county, ( name of state ), how many areas am I entitled to with a top place listing? "

If you want to get top placement in a neighboring area you can just purchase an additional top placement listing. There are no discounts for additional areas unless you are in a fairly unpopulated area. per area.

You can't get top placement if an area already contains notaries with P#'s of 12 to 20 or if it is on the reserved list.

If you want additional areas with a lower P#, that is less expensive. Please see the options on the main menu of this page for additional counties.

P#'s are numbers at the bottom of each notary's listing. Please check the P#'s of the notaries in the areas that you wish to be listed in. A P# of 11 gets you above all people (the vast majority) who have a P# of 2 to 10. If you need additional areas, you can get a separate listing to cover all of those other areas. Top placement is based on a new policy established in December of 2003. To get top placement you must first find out if you local area has the top position available. In the past we gave 2nd and 3rd place positions, but for new preferential listings we will only give 1st place to notaries in their home area or a neighboring area if the home area is taken. If the home area is taken or reserved, then you must find out if any of the neighboring areas are taken or reserved. If all neighboring or closeby areas are taken or on the reserved list, then top placement is no longer an option.

To find out if an area is taken, simply visit that area and click on the name of the top notary in that area. If they have a P# of 12 to 20 at the bottom of their listing, then the area is not available. You can visit that area in the future every month to make sure that the place is still not available. Also, please check the reserved List to make sure we are not reserving the area for another notary. The reserved list is for notaries who currently have near top preference but who can not get listed in their home area because another notary is already in it.

What are P#'s, and how is your placement on 123notary.com determined?

Your N# is your listing number and they are in chronological order. The first person every to be listed on 123notary.com has an N# of 1. New signups on 123notary.com have an N# of 2850 currently as of October of 2004. N#'s determine seniority between people with the same P#. If you have a P# of 10 and someone else does too, if your N# is lower than theirs, you have seniority over them and are placed higher on the list of notaries.

P#'s on 123notary.com start at 2. People with free listings usually have a 2. People with a free listing who are certified usually have a 3. Economy renewals get a 7. Regular listings get an 8. Regular listings with certification get 9. Preferential listings get 10. Preferential with certification get 11. Preferential with elite certification get 12. Top placed listings get 20. There can only be one 20 per area. The higher your P#, the higher your listing appears.

Policies for listings on 123notary.com

A one year listing entitles you to a listing on 123notary.com for one year. However, we don't generally consider the year to expire until the first day of the next month of the next year to allow for a margin of time to expire after we receive your payment. The reason for the margin is because it takes 2 to 5 days to get your listing online, and sometimes there are minor changes that need to be made after your listing is up. After your year is up, we also allow a margin of time for you to pay your renewal payment if you wish to renew.

Please allow 2 to 5 days for your listing to go online.

Updates - Please allow 2 to 5 days for your updates to your listing to appear online. Sorry it can't be faster. We only process updates that are sent from 123epayment.com. bottom of your listing. On 123epayment.com you can fill out an update form, 2nd request for update form, or Emergency update form if your primary contact information is wrong. Please don't call in for updates. If there is a serious mistake on your listing that disables you from receiving phone calls, we might make your change faster than we would otherwise.

Guarantees - 123notary.com guarantees that if your listing is not updated within 10 days of your second email request, we will give you 2 free months at the end of your year for your listing. If your listing does not go online within 15 days of your credit card invoice, we will give you 2 free months at the end of your year for your listing. It is very rare that updates take longer than 10 days.

Procedure for changing your listing on 123notary.com

Updating your listing is easy. Here are the steps.

1. Please visit the update section of www.123epayment.com and click "Buy" (it's free). Fill out the free update form on www.123epayment.com. The form will ask for your N#. Your N# will appear at the bottom of your listing. It is in small print and it is the number to the right of the other numbers. N numbers are usually three or four digits for most listings.

2. Please fill out the rest of them form and then click on submit. Any information that does not fit into a category goes into the notes section. Occassionally people get error messages after they press the submit button, if that is the case, then email your update with your N# to jeremybelmont2004@gmail.com. Please only use my email as a backup and not as a first choice.

3. Please be patient and allow 2 to 5 days for the change to show up online. I usually update once per day, but in unusual circumstances I might be away from a computer for several days.

4. Please check your listing after 5 days to verify that the change has been successfully completed. If the update was not correctly or completely done, please submit another form with the remaining changes.
