You must be 18 years of age to apply to be a Texas notary public.  You are required to file a $10,000 bond, and 
keep a notary seal, and record book ( journal ).  You must not have a felony or have committed a crime involving 
moral torpitude.  There is a $21 fee to become a Texas notary public.  Please visit
