50 cents for each attendance upon any person for proving a matter or thing and certifying the same ( similar to an acknowledgment )
50 cents for each notarial certificate with seal
Taking Depositions and swearing in witnesses .25 cents per copy sheet
For each copy of up to 100 words for taking depositions, protests and certificates .10 cents
Jurats .25 cents

Become a South Carolina notary public Requirements You must be eighteen years old to be a SC notary public. You must be a SC resident and registered voter. A SC notary commission is for ten years. There are no bonding requirements, however a notary public must use a notary seal. Journals are not required for SC notaries, but they are highly recommended.
