KS - Information of Interest
One interesting fact about Kansas notaries is that they may notarize for their
spouse according to the secretary of state's website, however, the power is
limited by a particular law. Here is the official text:

A notary public may not notarize his or her own signature, but may notarize
the signatures of his or her spouse, children, parents or other relatives.
However, the power is limited to the provisions of K.S.A 53-109. The limitations
are set out in the general information section under Financial or Beneficial Interest.
