Both a notary seal and a signature are required for all notary acts. A notary journal is
suggested but not required. It is not the notary's responsibility to make sure that forms
are correctly filled out in Idaho. In many other states, however, it is unacceptable for a
notary to notarize a document with blanks in it. There is no specific color that an Idaho
notary seal needs to use.
